The condo market in Mukilteo certainly has some versatility, and will attract all sorts of home buyers. You can pick one to live in just for a couple years, or to retire in. And let’s not forget about the possibility to rent out your unit. I know of some investors who love to own condos, because their maintenance is minimal. Ideally, you just pay your HOA dues and maintain the inside of your unit. With Boeing right down the street, and such easy freeway access to Seattle and the eastside, of course transplants from other parts of the country will want to rent in Mukilteo. It’s an active market. I’ve found the Mukilteo condo market to be pretty influenced by foreclosures. Out of the 13 that have sold since January 1st, eight of them were bank owned units. That’s over half! And while it’s easy to argue that the bank owned units tend to be competitively priced and they bring down the averages and values, they’re selling quick. And you can’t hate too much on that! Personally, being the proud owner of a Harbour Pointe, Mukilteo condo, I’m happy to see that they’re selling. 13 sold in the last two months, and only 21 for sale currently.
